The Apollo 55000-440APO is an XP95 I.S. analog addressable heat detector, class A2S, for hazardous areas, and it must be connected to the loop through a safety barrier. Its single thermistor makes it a good fit where the air is normally dirty or smoky. JEM Systems Canada supplies it with shipping across Canada.

Compatibility and installation notes
- A safety barrier is a mandatory part of an I.S. system. Apollo states a typical I.S. circuit carries up to 20 detectors (12 optical detectors in an IIC environment), depending on barrier type, devices fitted and how many detector LEDs the control panel lets illuminate at once.
- The remote LED is wired in series with the integral LED and cannot be controlled separately from it, as it can on standard XP95 detectors.
- A remote LED indicator and its terminations need at least IP20 protection and segregation from other circuits per BS EN 60079-14.
- Intended for hazardous areas, dusty environments, refineries and offshore platforms.
