The System Sensor 2W-B is a conventional 2-wire photoelectric smoke detector from the i3 series. The plug-in head ships with its mounting base, so the base can be wired at rough-in and the head fitted at trim-out.

  • Photoelectric sensing only (no thermal sensor)
  • 12/24 V nominal, non-polarized; 8.5 to 35 V operating range
  • 50 µA maximum average standby current; alarm current limited by the control panel
  • 2.5%/ft nominal sensitivity, with drift compensation and smoothing algorithms
  • Remote maintenance signal and EZ Walk loop test when used with a 2W-MOD2 module or an i3-protocol panel
  • Operating range 0 to 49°C (32 to 120°F), 0 to 95% RH non-condensing
  • Mounts to 3.5 in. or 4 in. octagonal, single-gang or 4 in. square boxes (with plaster ring), or directly to the ceiling
