The Siemens FDBZ492 (S54319-B22-A1) is a two-wire air duct monitoring housing, supplied without relays and without a detector head. It draws a cross-sectional air sample from the HVAC duct through an inlet tube and returns it through an outlet tube, so smoke reaches the detector even when it stratifies.
- Accepts addressable or conventional Siemens detectors, including OP121, FP-11, HFP-11 and FDO421
- Air velocity 100 to 4,000 ft/min
- Duct temperature range set by the detector fitted (up to 120°F with OP121 or FDO421)
- Clear cover with smoke test port and four captive thumb screws
- Two 3/4 in. knockouts and one 1/2 in. conduit opening; 5.5 in. outlet tube supplied
Detector head and inlet sampling tube (ST-10, ST-25, ST-50 or ST-100, by duct width) sold separately. Relay versions: FDBZ492-R, FDBZ492-HR and FDBZ492-PR.
