The Kidde KIR-OSD is an Optica Series intelligent optical (photoelectric) smoke detector with rotary address switches, for panels with a Kidde Intelligent loop controller. It reads several optical sensors at two wavelengths and multiple angles to tell real smoke from nuisance sources such as cooking.
