The FM998 is an FM series flush wall-mount electromagnetic door holder for fire and smoke barrier doors, wired concealed into an outlet box. It holds the door open and releases it the moment power is removed by a smoke detector, the fire alarm panel or another switching device.
- Multi-voltage: 12 VDC, 24 VAC/VDC or 120 VAC; incorrect voltage does not damage the unit
- 25 to 40 lb holding power
- Fail-safe: power failure releases the door
- Positive release button starts the closing motion
- Magnet protected against transients and surges up to 600 V (AC models)
- Projection 3-5/8 in. (92 mm); mount 2 to 4 ft above the floor
- UL listed
